My Purpose

I became an editor because I love to read and I hate to see a great story spoiled by confusing language, incorrect grammar, spelling mistakes, and inconsistent punctuation. My goal is to help authors convey their ideas clearly to their audience in a readable and engaging way. I am always mindful of preserving the author’s voice while removing roadblocks for the reader.

My Qualifications

With proficiency in Chicago, AP, and Bluebook styles, I can edit a wide range of texts. I hold a Certificate in Editing from the University of Chicago Graham School, a JD from Temple University Beasley School of Law, and an MA in Psychology from Indiana University. I am a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association and the American Copy Editors Society, and regularly take advantage of continuing education offerings from those organizations.

My Experience

An avid reader since childhood, I enjoy many genres of fiction and nonfiction. I have experience editing high fantasy, urban fantasy, paranormal suspense, paranormal romance, contemporary romance, thriller, literary fiction, fictionalized memoir, legal treatises and documents, history, business advice, and website copy.
